VeryWell Driving License Verification: Accepted?
When registering at an online casino, verifying your identity is a mandatory step. A driving license is one of the most common and convenient documents used for this purpose. This guide will walk you through the process of using your driving license for verification at VeryWell casino, detailing what to expect, potential issues, and how to ensure a smooth experience.
Why VeryWell Requires Identity Verification
All licensed online casinos, including VeryWell, are legally obligated to verify the identity of their players. This process, known as Know Your Customer (KYC), is not unique to this brand but is a standard industry practice. Its primary purposes are to prevent underage gambling, stop fraud and money laundering, and ensure that any winnings are paid to the correct person. Submitting your documents is a security measure that protects both you and the operator. The VeryWell bonus or any winnings from VeryWell free spins will be locked until your account is fully verified.
Accepted Documents for VeryWell Verification
VeryWell accepts a range of government-issued photographic IDs to complete your account verification. Your driving license is typically among the fastest and easiest documents to get approved. Below is a table of commonly accepted documents and their specific use cases during the KYC process.
| Document Type | Primary Purpose | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Driving License (Photocard) | Proof of Identity & Date of Birth | Must be valid and clearly visible. The front and back are often required. |
| Passport | Proof of Identity & Date of Birth | An international standard, always accepted. |
| National ID Card | Proof of Identity & Date of Birth | Accepted if it is a government-issued photo ID. |
| Utility Bill or Bank Statement | Proof of Address | Must be recent (within last 3 months) and match your registered address. |
Step-by-Step: Submitting Your Driving License
To verify your account using your driving license, follow these clear steps. The entire process is usually completed within 24-48 hours, but it can sometimes take longer during peak periods.
- Log In and Navigate: After creating your account and making a deposit, go to your account profile or a section labeled ‘Verification’ or ‘KYC’.
- Prepare Your Document: Ensure your driving license is valid. Have a digital camera or smartphone ready to take clear pictures.
- Upload Images: You will be prompted to upload images. You typically need one photo of the front of your license and one of the back. Ensure all details are clear, legible, and not cropped out. Avoid glare and shadows.
- Submit and Wait: Once uploaded, submit the images. The VeryWell verification team will review them. You will receive a confirmation email once your documents have been approved.
Common Problems and Troubleshooting
Sometimes, verification hits a snag. Here are the most common issues players face when submitting a driving license and how to resolve them:
- Blurry or Unreadable Images: This is the top reason for rejection. Retake the photos in good lighting against a dark background, ensuring every character is sharp.
- Expired License: An expired driving license is not a valid form of ID. You will need to use a different document, such as a passport.
- Address Mismatch: Your driving license might have an old address. If your current address differs from the one on your license, you must provide a separate proof of address, like a recent utility bill.
- Cropped Edges: Make sure the entire document is within the frame of the photo. Missing corners or edges can lead to a rejection.
If your submission is rejected, the support team should provide a reason. Address the issue and resubmit your documents promptly.
